The London 2012 Olympic Torch Relay will arrive at St Columb's Park in the Waterside on Monday, June 4, 2012.An evening celebration in the park will include a range of events aimed at spreading the message of “peace, unity and friendship”.Organisers said it will allow the public from across the North West to celebrate a unique event for the city.
The Olympic Flame will travel for 12 hours each day over a total of 70 days 
culminating in 66 entertainment evenings across the UK staged by London 2012 and its three Olympic Torch Relay presenting partners. Many thousands more people are expected to celebrate along the route each day.
“St Columb's Park is an ideal location for the celebrations and we look forward to hosting the Olympic Torch and allowing the public to join in the torch journey and be part of the London 2012 event.”During the show a cauldron will be lit from the Olympic Flame, marking the end of the day's proceedings.
