Tamil novelist files complaint against director and producer of Endhiran




Chennai: Tamil novelist files complaint against director and producer of Endhiran: Amutha Tamil Nadan, Tamil novelist has filed a complaint with T Rajendran, Chennai city police commissioner against the producer and director of “Endhiran” accusing him of stealing the story and concept of his novel “Jugiba”.

He stated “I had written a small novel ‘Jugiba’ in a magazine called ‘Iniya Udhayam’, in 1996. My novel was repeated in ‘Dhik Dhik Dheepika’ magazine in 2007 with my permission.”
He said further, “Director Shankar and producer Kalanithi Maran stole the raw story from my novel and added ingredients to the film like songs, fights and graphics.”
He had earlier sent a legal notice to the director of the film but not getting any response from him, he had to take the step of approaching the city police commissioner.
